The southern street in Aden denounced the attempts of Abu al-Yamamah, the commander in the security belt funded by the United Arab Emirates, to seek for mediators from security and social leaders to waive the case filed by lawyers against him.
As a result of popular pressure, Abu al-Yamamah admitted his crime against one of the city’s residents.
The separation council published yesterday false reports claiming that the leader of the UAE was involved in an assassination attempt, which later turned out to be fake news after an elderly man appeared in a video in which he said he had been attacked by gunmen following Abu al-Yamamah.
A day after the scandal was exposed, the rebel Abu al-Yamamah visited the home of Rafik Abdullah, whose car was attacked, apologized to him and promised to provide materially or morally reparation.
