A popular referendum conducted by a local channel in Aden showed the increasing number of votes in favor of keeping Yemen unified within a federal or centrally united country.
One of the YouTube channels held a popular referendum targeting a wide spectrum of citizens of the city of Aden, where the majority said that they support keeping Yemen united.
Speakers focused largely on the need for a country that protects people’s rights and provides services.
It was not possible – over the past years – to hear such voices in Aden.
This referendum reflects a major retreat of the secession project in the south areas of Yemen.
