Activists shared a recorded audio clip of the UAE-backed separatist leader, Muhammad Salem al-Buhar, in which he threatened to kill the martyr Mujahid Salem Subaih, director of al-Rawda security in Shabwa province, eastern Yemen.
Activists said that the family of the martyr Subaih found a recorded call in his cellphone while he was being threatened by the leader of the Shabwani elite, Mohammed AlBuhar, by death.
According to the leaked voice call, al-Buhar has charged Subaih with selling a military armored vehicle belonging to elite forces after fleeing Shabwa.
Subaih denied the charges and asked AlBuhar to prove the charge or stop charging others.
On Thursday, unknown gunmen assassinated Subaih and two of his companions in al-Rawda district and then fled.
