Information Minister Muammar al-Iryani said that ” Houthi militia has brought its armed terrorist rebels and their combat vehicles to the warehouses of UNICEF and the World Food Program in Al-Hammadi area and the Red Sea silos, in the province of Hodeidah”.
Yemeni news agency “Sheba” quoted Minister Al-Iryani as saying that the militia’s entry into the warehouses came as a result of the withdrawal of its field commanders and fighters after fiercest fights against the coalition-led National Army.
“The militia knows the coalition does not bomb the protected areas,” he said. “We are surprised by the international silence on this act, which violates international law, that states international relief facilities should not be used as places of conflict”.
The Minister of Information pointed out there is not yet any reaction from the UN organizations against this “criminal act” of the coup militias, which aims to mix the cards after the successive defeats they faced in the battlefields, and their desperate attempt to use the civilian sites to hide, including the sites of international relief organizations.
