Clashes erupted today, Wednesday, in the outskirts of the town of (Yaramis) east of the Khanfar district of Abyan Governorate, between the forces of the legitimate government and the security belt forces of the Southern Transitional Council supported by the Emirates.
A military source said that the government army forces stationed in the town of “Yaramis” exchanged artillery shelling with forces from the security belt stationed outside the town near Juaar, the headquarters of the security belt command in Abyan province.
The source reported that the security belt forces tried to advance towards “Yarams”, but the army forces responded by firing artillery and Katyusha shells before the two sides exchanged the engagement from long distances without killing or injuring people.
The army forces advanced to the town of “Yaramis” two days ago in an attempt to cut off the supply routes for the forces of the security belt towards the “Lauder” district, northeast of Abyan governorate.
