A prominent leader in the Southern Transitional Council submitted his resignation, this evening, Wednesday, 24 hours after a female leader in the Council’s branch in Hadramout submitted her resignation.
Informed sources said that Nadim Al-Naqeeb resigned this evening from the membership of the General Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, which is more like a parliamentary body led by Major General Ahmed bin Brik.
The text of the captain’s resignation letter included what he described as the transitional council’s deviation from the path of liberation and independence and the abandonment of the principles of the Southern Movement, for which the martyrs were killed by the security forces’s bullets, as he described.
Besides his membership in the General Assembly, Al-Naqeeb works as an advisor to the President of the Association.
