Prime Minister obstructs the payment of salaries of the National Army

The Central Bank of Yemen has refused to pay the salaries of the national army in the liberated northern regions and governorates, as well as the first military zone in Sayoun and the axes of Ataq and Bayhan, due to directives issued by Prime Minister Moeen Abdul Malik, informed sources said on Tuesday.

The sources added that the leadership of the Central Bank refused to pay salaries “despite the issuance of directives”.

they said that Moeen is trying to impede the payment of the salaries of army units for their role in defeating the UAE-led military coup through its separatist militias in Aden last August.

The sources pointed out that Moeen agreed to pay only three of the eight salaries that have not been disbursed during this year, in addition to salaries of three months still late from last year 2018.

The prime minister is accused of suspicious relations with the UAE regime, which has committed serious violations against Yemenis.
