The video of an Emirati official about Socotra raises internal indignant

عدن نيوز - Aden News :

A video of an Emirati official which shared in social media recently has caused internal public anger against UAE.

The video shows the Emirati official expressing his country’s desire to naturalize the residents of Socotra, the biggest Yemeni island.

A UAE official said the citizens of Socotra will be part of the UAE and will be granted citizenship. He confirmed that the discussions has done about this topic, during a meeting with a group of Socotra residents in the emirate of Ajman, in the presence of the former governor of Socotra Salem Abdullah, a leader in the UAE-led southern transitional council.

In this regard, Dr. Kamal Al-Baadani said: “You idiots. If the story was about nationality, Hadramout would be Saudi land. The leaders of the Kingdom are from Hadramout and holding Saudi nationality, yet Saudi Arabia has never said that Hadramout is Saudi.”

He added: “You fools, the history of “Dragon’s Blood tree” on the island is older than the history of your state. You have childish minds. Iran took your islands and you want to take the island of Yemeni Socotra instead! you are so stupid.

For his part, Mukhtar alRahbi said that the UAE deals with Yemen as if it is an Emirati land, where it supports factions that are loyal to it, and arrests anyone, and support militias against the state.. finally UAE want to rob Our Socotra.

Al-Rahbi stressed that the Emirati official statements are considered as a violation of national sovereignty and an incentive for all Yemeni people.

“The stupidity of these Arabs has no limits, they do not learn from the events that took place,” said journalist Abdulraqeeb al-Hudaiani.

“Gathering mercenaries in your councils to applause for you does not mean that the people of Socotra became in your pockets,” he said.
