Al-Houthi militia in Sana’a has launched strict policies to prevent ” intermingle” or ” gathering” between men and women in the capital Sana’a.
They have also put up posters on the walls of Sana’a University colleges, warning students of both sexes from gathering together.
The Houthis authorities demanded shop owners to commit “to preserve public morals and prevent the gathering between males and females, and to separate between them with a wall.”
According to a “commitment document” signed by the shop owners, they are committed to evict the shop and take criminal responsibility, in case of violation of the instructions of the Houthis.
Violators may be sentenced to two years’ imprisonment.
The Houthis group is taking “radical” policies against citizens in the areas they control: militia gunmen have covered women’s dolls in wedding dress shops and banned singing in weddings and social events.
