All Girls Foundation for Development (AGFD) -funded by UNFPA within the integrated reproductive healthcare project- has completed the process of maintaining and rehabilitating the Reproductive Health Center at the Al Munirah Hospital in the Al Munirah District of the Al Hodeidah Governorate. The project provides several free of charges reproductive health services such as operations, in-patient ward, obstetric emergencies, urgent referral, family planning, pregnancy care, and consultancy and education.
The Center has been prepared with necessary medical supplies and equipment in addition to hiring a medical and technical staff to run the Center at the Hospital. The number of beneficiaries has exceeded 6079 cases until late November. Most beneficiaries come from the Al Munirah District and other surrounding districts like the Az Zaidiyah, Al Dhuhi, Al Qanawes, and Al Meghlaf.
It is worth saying that AGFD has implemented several interventions in the Al Hodeidah Governorate in the sectors of water and hygiene sanitation, shelter and protection where the foundation has built two water networks of 27,000-meter-long in Deir Ghurab and Deir Asalah equipped with solar-powered pumps benefiting 4900 individuals in the area.
Since last October, AGFD has been implementing the shelter project funded by OCHA where 500 emergency shelter kits, 800 non-food-items kits will be delivered to IDPs in the area along with a number of other interventions.
