The Prophet Birth .. Houthi’s trick for looting money from citizens
Local sources in the city of Hodeidah reported that the militia of Houthi has looted 200 million riyals of electricity revenues – hot line – and the clean box in Hodeidah, in addition to the amount of 100 million riyals from the revenues of the port of Hodeidah.
The sources added that al-Houthi militia launched campaigns in the districts of Tihama to merchants, farmers, fishermen, social figures and owners of shops and small stores imposing on them money to pay, under the claim of celebrating the birth of the Prophet.
These sources said that armed elements belonging to the Houthi militia attacked some shops and some houses of citizens who refused to pay money. They were forced by force and at gunpoint to pay money received by field commanders and supervisors of the Houthi militia in the districts of Tihama.
Houthi sources confirmed that the money has become a means of extortion, as some militia supervisors collect special funds under the slogan “celebrate the birth of the Prophet,” while the money is shared among the leaders of the Houthi supervisors.
