Russian official predicts intensifying of clashes in Hodeidah

The Russian ambassador to Yemen Vladimir Didushkin predicted on Saturday that clashes in Hodeidah could intensify.
“The situation on the main front lines in the provinces of Hodeidah, Saada, Hajja, Dhala, Baidah and Taiz remains tense,” Ambassador Didushkin said.

He added: “The confrontations reached their top levels in the vicinity of Hodeidah, where government forces, supported by an air force from the Arab alliance, are trying to impose a cordon around the city.” The battles in Hodeidah are in the southern and eastern suburbs of the city.
