Sources: Senior officer defects from Houthi rebels

Local sources in the interim capital of Aden said that a senior officer defected on Sunday from the Houthis.

The sources said that the head of the command and control center of the Navy and the coastal defense in Hodeidah, Colonel “Bahiji al-Ramadi” today dissented from the Houthis in the battles of Hodeidah.

This comes within the series of jumping from the sunken boat of Houthis, knowing that the Minister of Information Huthi fled Sana’a two days earlier and arrived in Riyadh.

The Yemeni army spokesman said a few days ago about arranging the exit of more than 30 figures from the capital Sana’a in coordination with the army to areas controlled by government forces.
