Informed sources with the national army said that Zakaria al-Shami, the minister of transport in the government formed by the Houthis in Sanaa, was killed in an air strike carried out by coalition aircraft.
The sources added that Zakaria al-Shami, who served as deputy chief of staff in a decree by President Hadi in 2014, was killed in an air strike on the road Hodeida -Sanaa.
The sources said that the raid carried out by coalition aircraft targeted al-Shami on his way back from the city of Hodeidah in the west of Yemen, which is witnessing fierce battles between the forces of the National Army supported Arab Coalition aircrafts and the Houthi rebels.
The news was not confirmed from an independent source, and al-Houthi group has not yet announced the killing of al-Shami, one of the group’s most prominent leaders.
