On Wednesday evening, decisions were issued appointing defense minister, chief of staff and governor of Aden province.
According to the state news agency Saba, a Republican decision was to appoint Lieutenant General Mohamed Ali al-Maqdashi as defense minister, and to appoint Maj. Gen. Abdullah Salem Al-Nakhaie as the chief of staff.
Another Republican decision appointed the former chief of staff, Major General Taher Aqili, as military adviser to the president.
President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi also issued a presidential decree appointing Ahmed Salim Rabie as governor of Aden province.
