Houthi rebels organize racist events in Sanaa schools

The Al-Houthi militia issued a circular directing the schools of the capital Sana’a to organize racist events to celebrate the so-called “Karbala Day” on the tenth of Muharram and the fourth anniversary of its coup against legitimacy on 21 September.

The army’s website, “26 September Net,” quoted an educational source as saying that the Houthi directives ruled that the “Zawamil” and sectarian songs should be broadcast in schools, in addition to reports. The directives also included threats and punitive measures for anyone who violates the instructions.

The source added that the militia asked school managers to attend a meeting in Asma girls school to be provided with copies of the propaganda materials prepared by the militia, to be presented to school students, including materials to be presented in the events of Karbala.

The Iranian-backed Houthi militia groups use schools and government facilities in Sana’a to carry out sectarian and tactical activities as they try to bring more fighters into their side.
