“Aden News” reveals names and locations of UAE top SECRET prisons in Aden

It is no longer a secret that the biggest achievement for the UAE in Yemen, since its control of Aden in mid-2015, is the construction of dozens of secret detention centers in most southern cities to torture opponents.

Throughout the period of its participation in the Yemen war, the UAE worked to establish secret underground prisons, in addition to the prisons it established on the ground. Only a few southerners loyal to the Emirates are aware of these prisons and the identity of those who run them.

Officially and repeatedly, Abu Dhabi denied the existence of these prisons, as well as their supervision of most of them, despite what international news agencies revealed about the UAE’s involvement in establishing and managing a network of secret prisons, to torture and hide anyone who opposes the UAE presence in Yemen.

“Aden News” publishes a list of the names and locations of secret prisons run by the Emirates in southern Yemen, where the most brutal forms of torture are practiced against detainees:

1_ Storm Forces Prison: It is located in the Tawahi District, and was established inside the Storm Forces headquarters. It is run by the militia leader Awsan Al-Anshly.

2_ Waddah Hall Prison: It is located in Tawahi “Gold Moore” next to the office of the Transitional Council. It is run by the militia leader Samer Al-Jandab, commissioned by Yusran Al-Maqtari.

3_ Shallal House Prison: It is located in the Tawahi “Gold Moore” area, specifically inside the Shallal Ali Shaye house.

4_ Tariq Camp Prison: It is located in Khor Maksar, next to the Traffic Department.

5_ Jabal Hadid Camp Prison: It is located on the road between Al Mualla and Khor Maksar, next to Al Hamra Restaurant.

6_ Worker Island Prison: It is located in Khor Maksar, next to the Police Officers Club. Managed by the so-called Samed Sanah.

7_ Al-Monsha’at Prison: It is located in the Mansoura district, next to the Qat market, “behind Al-Kuraimi building.” Managed by the so-called Kamal Al-Halimi.

8_ Bir Ahmed camp prison: It holds about 250 to 400 detainees, and it is one of the largest prisons run by the UAE mercenaries in Aden. It is managed by Ghassan Al-uqrubi.

9_ Coalition Prison: It is located in the Buriqa District, at the headquarters of the Arab Coalition. Its managed and supervised by Emirati officers.

10_ Al-Jalaa Camp Prison: It is located in the Buriqa District, next to the Arab Coalition Camp. Managed by the so-called Moin al-Maqrahi.

11_ Ras Abbas Camp Prison: It is located on the outskirts of Al-Buraiqah District.

12_ Al-Mansoura Prison: It is run by the so-called Naqib Al-Yahri.

13_ Secret prison behind the headquarters of the Investigation Department. It is managed by the so-called Abu Muhtam Al-Dhali.

14_ Fifth Brigade Camp Prison: It is located in Al-Ribat region. Managed by the so-called Saleh Al-Sayed.

15_ Al-Nasr Camp Prison: It is located in the Al-Arish area. Managed by the so-called Jalal Al-Rubaie.

In addition to three secret prisons established by the Emirates at the headquarters of the Arab coalition, located underground at a depth of 5 meters. These prisons are supervised by Emirati officers and also UAE-backed leaders in the STC.

The first prison is located near the main gate of the headquarters. It was established under the building of the US Marines.

The second prison is located opposite the back entrance to the headquarters, and at the same depth as the first detention center, but this prison was built longitudinally. In addition, the second prison is opposite the building of the Emirati leadership.

Finally, the third secret prison was established in an area in the middle of the two former prisons. Its area is approximately the same size as the former prison located under the headquarters of the American forces.
