Military and security leaders of the legitimate government in the archipelago of Socotra arrived in the island on Tuesday, a week after an official visit to the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
A government source said that the Commander of the First Brigade (Marine) Maj. Gen. Ali Salimin, the Commander of the Coastal Defense Colonel Saad Somal, the Commander of the Military Police Branch in Socotra, Colonel Noah Eidhen, the Director of Socotra Security Colonel Fayez Shatehi, and the Director-General of Hadibu Amjad Thani, return to the governorate aboard Saudi plane.
The delegation of government leaders left Socotra Archipelago on Monday, in response to a mutual request from Yemen presidency and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This visit comes in light of discussions sponsored by the Kingdom in Riyadh, that aims to resolve the crisis between the legitimate government and the transitional council, and implement the Riyadh agreement signed between them in November of last year.
