A delegation from Al-Eisy Foundation for Humanitarian Initiatives met, on Thursday, with Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme National Emergency Committee Dr. Salem Al-Khanbashi at his office in the temporary capital, Aden.
Al-Khanbashi informed the delegation of the damages caused by the heavy rains and floods in Aden, and the heavy losses incurred by citizens.
The delegation of Al-Eisy Foundation announced in the meeting the implementation of the largest relief plan to support Aden citizens.
The foundation’s delegation said that the prepared relief plan is urgent, and focuses on the most basic requirements and needs of the affected citizens, and secure their livelihoods to resist the difficult conditions they are experiencing as a result of the disaster.
The delegation stated that the plan targets the affected neighborhoods in the city, and includes several stages in various sectors, foremost of which are nutrition, shelter, and necessary services.
For his part, Deputy Prime Minister Al-Khanbashi thanked Al-Eisy Foundation for Humanitarian Initiatives for this gesture, and its continued interest in relief and humanitarian work, stressing that this is not strange for Al-Eisy Foundation, which extended its help to the Yemeni citizens at home and abroad.
Al-Khanbashi called on relief and humanitarian organizations to follow the example of Al-Eisy Foundation and cooperate with the Higher Committee for Emergency, to relief the people of Aden and address the damage caused by torrential rains and floods.
