The forces of the “security belt”, affiliated with the Southern Transitional Council (backed by the Emirates), last Saturday prevented forces affiliated with the Yemeni government from entering the city of Aden, the temporary capital of Yemen, according to a government source.
A Yemeni government source said that the forces of the Southern Transitional Council, at the “AlAlam” point between the governorates of Aden and Abyan, prevented forces belonging to presidential protection from entering Aden.
The source added that “government forces came from Abyan on the way to Aden, in implementation of the Riyadh agreement signed in the Saudi capital, between the Yemeni government and the Southern Transitional Council, on November 5 (last).”
